5 x7 Collaged Canvas Boards

Each of these 5x7 collages are composed of my Botanically Printed Papers. They are collaged on an acid free triple primed 100% cotton canvas board. The papers are Korean Hanji, Heavy Mulberry, Vintage Japanese Calligraphy Practice Papers, Wasp (nest) Paper, and Arches Watercolor Paper. Some have my hand dyed silk organza on them.

Each collage is a One-of-a-Kind unique combination of some or all of the above papers. Each one is sealed with a pva/methyl cellulose coat and finished with a wax coating. The backing is a collage of my botanical prints on printer paper and prepared for hanging.

Paper Prayer Bowls

My Paper Prayer Bowls are composed of mulberry paper, vintage Japanese calligraphy paper, silk fiber, bamboo fiber, flax fiber, and sometimes various plant fibers from my garden as well as wasp paper. The different pulps are dyed with earth pigments or natural dyes. Each bowl is sealed and waxed to give them stability and strength. Every bowl is a one-of-a-kind natural work of art.
