I have been wandering through the field of textiles, and related creative fields for well over 40 years.

In 1990 my husband and I moved to Hawaii, while there, I learned Traditional Japanese Shibori techniques and indigo dyeing from Temari, a center for Asian Arts in Honolulu. I also worked at the Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum of Culture and Natural History in Honolulu in the field of Art Conservation for 10 years.

Sometimes things just fall together in the most as Sometimes things just fall together in the most astonishing way…almost as if they knew ahead of time who they wanted to be with and how they wanted to be…this sculptural neckpiece was like that some beads I’ve had for 30 years and others for 24 hours while the bones I just completed in February….it felt like they needed to be connected and that their connection completed their energy as a talisman…all my work appears to be that way… there is not much difference between the new collage work on paper and my Shibori /collage work on cloth…it’s all about my attraction to pattern and layering pattern on pattern…working with all the different materials I have loved in a lifetime of creating. Day 131 of my 70th year around the sun. I’m feeling so Blessed…
