I have been wandering through the field of textiles, and related creative fields for well over 40 years.

In 1990 my husband and I moved to Hawaii, while there, I learned Traditional Japanese Shibori techniques and indigo dyeing from Temari, a center for Asian Arts in Honolulu. Hello everyone, I’ve been working on a month lon Hello everyone, I’ve been working on a month long card project as a way to bring my unseen imagery to life. The images are from my botanical prints on silk paper and wool, as well as my collage work on canvas. The images are printed on a beautiful Japanese Kozo paper that brings them to life. The cards are now up on my website under “shop the gallery” at www.melissaarnoldtextiles.com it’s been a lovely journey of discovery as each card is hand made. Putting as much beauty out into the world as I can, feels like an important thing to do in these wild and chaotic times…..Thank you for looking.
